CELEBRITY GUESTS TO ATTEND L.A.’s LARGEST EARTH DAY FESTIVAL
(Los Angeles, CA) --- The 7th Annual WorldFest, LA’s Largest Earth Day Festival is a solar-powered festival of music, celebrating the environment, animals, health and social consciousness. WorldFest will be held at Woodley Park in Encino on Saturday May 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Eminent guests to be at WorldFest this year will be state representative Fran Pavley, Ralph Nader’s running mate, Matt Gonzalez, actors Constance Marie, Linda Blair, Corey Feldman, child actress Saige Ryan Campbell, author Rory Freedman of the bestseller “Skinny Bitch”, and many empowering speakers from Farm Sanctuary, the Humane Society of the US (HSUS), and other animal and environmental protection groups. Over 20 local bands will perform on two stages including the dynamic One Tribe Nation. The whole affair will be hosted by the very entertaining Dan Piraro, creator of the hit comic strip, Bizarro.
‘We’re so pleased to have such an outstanding and diverse bunch of celebrities with messages about health and better ways to treat our planet,’ says Billy Hulting, Co-Producer of the event.
Indeed, WorldFest will have entire arenas of the festival devoted to environmentalism and health. The EcoTent will showcase simple to full-house implementations that participants can do to change the impact that their lives will have on the earth. The Healthy Hut will have cooking demos and active lifestyle exhibits that will teach attendees how to cook healthier and exercise to stay healthy.
Jill Hahn, Hulting’s fellow Co-Producer of WorldFest felt it was important to make the event very inviting for families. So an entire Kids’ World has a large presence at the festival with face painting, games, arts ‘n crafts, and educational displays with Radio Disney in attendance. ‘It’s great to have Radio Disney be a part of the event,’ states Hahn. ‘They are an important guest to have because then families know that we understand how to incorporate entertainment with education for the kids.
‘The incredible thing about WorldFest,’ notes Hulting, ‘is that it’s an event that’s built entirely on a grassroots effort. We expect 6,000 attendees this year and that’s really something that couldn’t happen if we didn’t have companies like Saturn, SunFlour Baking Company, Whole Foods, news publications like Whole Life Times, Natural Living Magazine, E-The Environmental Magazine, and Animals’ Voice magazine sponsoring us and helping us to create such an amazing event and get the word out about it.’
